Build the engine that brings Earthly Lunar to the platform and engineering leaders who need it — and own it end to end.
About Earthly
Earthly Lunar is a guardrails engine for the AI era. As engineering organizations scale — and AI accelerates how much code they ship — leaders lose the ability to hold every team to their standards for quality, security, and compliance. Lunar turns those standards into automated guardrails enforced across the whole software development lifecycle — as code is written, on every pull request, and at deploy — consistently across every repo and team. Engineering leaders get back control and real-time visibility, and compliance evidence becomes a byproduct of enforcement. Whether code comes from a developer or an AI agent, Lunar makes sure it ships right.
We're an AI-native team backed by Innovation Endeavors and Work-Bench — with angels including Jeff Dean (Google's Chief Scientist), the CEOs of Datadog and Cockroach Labs, the founder of Sentry, and the creators of Elixir, Pandas, and Ruff/uv. We're trusted by enterprise teams across defense and large-scale SaaS, and growing fast.
The role
You'll own demand generation end to end — the content, distribution, and campaigns that turn into qualified pipeline. Most companies split that across demand gen, content, and distribution teams; here it's one person, you, building the whole arc. You're measured on one thing: qualified pipeline from the leaders who buy us — platform engineering and heads of engineering at fast-scaling companies, from Series-stage startups to large enterprises (with SRE and security as key influencers).
It's a hands-on, AI-native operator role built on relentless experimentation — with outsized ownership and a direct line to the founder/CEO.
What you’ll do
Build and run the demand engine. Content, distribution, campaigns, and launches — the full system that turns attention into qualified pipeline.
Experiment relentlessly. Treat growth as a lab — run constant tests across channels, messages, and formats; scale what works, kill what doesn't. Finding the unlock beats running a playbook.
Produce technical content engineers respect. Sharp, AI-assisted but human-sounding writing about engineering standards, supply-chain attacks, and the agentic dev stack.
Own distribution. Make every piece travel — LinkedIn, X, email, and AI answer engines (AEO/GEO), with the occasional HN/Reddit moment. Distribution is the multiplier.
Run rapid response. When a supply-chain attack or zero-day breaks, you ship a sharp take within hours and turn it into outreach the same day.
Turn readers into qualified leads. Build the landing pages, lead magnets, and conversion flows that capture demand.
Feed the top-down sales motion. Turn market signals into well-timed outreach, arm sales with the right content, and partner with the founder on launches.
Sharpen positioning and messaging. Find the framing that lands with each audience and lean into it.
What we’re looking for
A startup operator who has scaled. You've helped take a startup from seed/Series A through later stages, so you know what the build-from-zero phase actually demands.
Recent experience in an adjacent space. Dev tools, infrastructure, platform engineering, DevOps, or security tooling. You understand our audiences deeply — platform engineering and engineering leaders (primary); SRE and security (secondary) — and speak to them credibly, even without a deep technical background.
A hands-on operator. Mid-level and self-sufficient: you do the work — writing, shipping, experimenting — rather than briefing agencies or vendors.
An exceptional writer. You produce content a skeptical platform engineer reads and respects.
AI-native by default. Roughly 80% of your work is AI-assisted — you build your own AI workflows to research, draft, generate variants, and analyze, doing the work of a much larger team. Comfort with Claude Code is ideal; strong with Claude / Claude Cowork and hungry to go deeper is a fine start.
Adaptable, experimental, and commercially wired. You thrive in ambiguity, run constant experiments, kill what doesn't work, and judge yourself by the pipeline you generate.
Bonus
A technical background, especially in platform engineering or dev infrastructure — it lets you go deep with engineers.
Time at a larger, later-stage company too — you've seen demand gen work at scale, not just scrappy.
An existing audience or network in platform engineering, dev tools, or security.
Design or multimedia range — video (customer stories, demos), visuals, landing pages.
How we work
Small, senior, AI-native team. Heavy AI leverage, high autonomy, fast loops.
Top-down go-to-market. We win by getting in front of the right leader at the right company, and your work feeds that motion.
Direct line to the founder/CEO and outsized ownership of how Earthly Lunar shows up in the world.
Benefits
Healthcare, dental, and vision — including dependents (US & Canada)
Incentive stock plan
401(k) / RRSP with employer matching (US & Canada)
Life insurance (US & Canada)
Credits for gym or activity equipment (US & Canada)
Fully remote, with everyone within ±3 hours of each other — no late-night meetings
An early-stage environment where your work has outsized impact and you operate with real freedom — excellent preparation if you want to take the founder path someday
How to apply
Skip the cover letter. Send your resume or LinkedIn, plus a short sample of your work — either:
the 150–200 word hero section you'd write for Earthly Lunar's homepage, or
a piece of technical content you're proud of, with the distribution plan you'd run for it.
Compensation
The yearly salary range listed is the US base salary for this full-time position. It does not include bonuses, equity, or other benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and training. Earthly expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials, or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position would Earthly consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range. Your recruiter or hiring manager can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
